GRMS Recognized As Model School In The Arts
The Glen Rock Middle School proudly announces its recognition as a "New Jersey Model School in the Arts," as designated by the New Jersey Arts Education Partnership. The NJAEP is a collaborative partnership of the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Quadrant Arts Education Research, ArtPride New Jersey, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and Playwrights Theater of New Jersey.
For the next three years Glen Rock Middle School's Exploratory Arts, Performing and Visual Arts programs will be leaders in the NJ State Arts and Education communities by offering our program as a “model program” for other districts to follow. Our commitment to the NJAEP will be demonstrated as we:
- provide mentorship to other schools
- have programs showcased in the media
- share knowledge and materials with visiting artists and educators in order to promote not only the advancement of the arts but also student achievement, in the arts and in general.
