Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying
Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB). Our district has always taken student misconduct seriously, in all forms, and will continue to do so. We support the goals of the law and will fully implement its requirements. The legislation requires reporting of suspected HIB, investigation and determination of whether the behavior is HIB or not. It defines specific reporting and follow-up activities. Harassment, intimidation or bullying means any gesture, written, verbal or physical act, or technological threat whether it be a single incident or a series of incidents that takes place on school property, at any school sponsored function, going to and/or from school, or off school grounds that substantially disrupts or interferes with the orderly operation of the school or the rights of other pupils. The district policy and contact information for the Anti-Bullying Coordinator is available on the district website.
The Middle School Anti-Bullying Specialist is Mr. Jeff Kurland.
He can reached at (201)-445 7700 or via email at
